Joint Information Environment

The Corporate Joint Information Environment (JIE) is a single, joint, secure, reliable, and agile communications and computing enterprise information environment.
The JIE combines corporate local networks into a common and shared global network. It will provide single user identification and access, corporate e-mail, virtual digital workplace, shared business applications, uniform information security standards, global cloud IT compute, storage and backup infrastructure. The main objectives are to increase business operational efficiency, enhance network security and save money by reducing infrastructure and staffing.
JIE Services include:

  • Providing users of IT services with the ability to access the unified information space and corporate information resources of Customers, including ensuring the functioning of JIE services and managing the corporate computer network.
  • Provision the ability for sending, receiving, and storing electronic mail via Microsoft Exchange based Corporate e-mail system, using a common address book, online archive mailbox, includes the infrastructure to store, receive and deliver email both internally and externally as well as the support for Users and Sites to deal with their email on their workplaces.
  • Provision the ability for instant communication and teamwork between employees within the Company's network and with Partner Companies using a standard corporate service that combines all means of interaction: audio and video conferences, instant messaging, calendars, office telephone and mobile communications, exchange of documents and applications. Covers both the infrastructure to perform communication internally and user-facing support on their workplaces.
  • Providing the possibility of using network disk space for collective and personal file storage, information sharing through Microsoft SharePoint portal; covers both the infrastructure for storing and sharing documents and the support for Users to deal with SharePoint on their workplaces.
  • Providing the possibility of using a virtual Workplace available anytime and anywhere, hosted in cloud and containing a set of services based on Microsoft Online Office 365 platform.
  • The terms of the service are determined by the contract (minimum prerequisites: a working computing device, Internet access, availability of appropriate licenses for Microsoft products, including Microsoft Exchange client access licenses (CALs) if necessary).
  • Provision of a secure connection for maintaining confidentiality and data integrity while transferring information between the WAN and Customers local networks. Provision of switching and routing of network packets within the corporate data transmission network. Provision of control and filtering of network packets to protect LANs of enterprises from unauthorized access. Management of WAN equipment, virtual private networks, and security areas.
